Origins & Education: Born in Ansan (Gyeonggi-do), Seulgi joined SM as a trainee in 2007 via a public audition. A member of the SM Rookies, she was the first to be introduced to the public. During training, a drop in her voice led her to intensify her dancing—she would go on to become one of the best performers of her generation.
